Editorial Policy
How we research, check, update and correct every guide on SamarthGuide.
How content is researched
We begin with the official Samarth Portal and government sources: state department websites, myScheme and published notifications. We note what we observe on the portal and the date we observed it.
How official sources are checked
Every scheme fact, such as residency or age, must trace to an official listing. If only independent sources describe something, such as a layout change, we say "reported" and name the source type.
How factual claims are supported
Pages list their sources. We do not publish payment dates, amounts, helpline numbers or eligibility limits we cannot confirm.
How outdated information is reviewed
Core pages are reviewed at least every three months, and sooner after a reported change. The "Reviewed" date shows the last check.
How corrections are handled
Send a correction through the contact page. We verify it against official sources, update the page, and change the "Updated" date. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the page.
How updates are documented
We update existing pages instead of publishing duplicates. Dates are never changed without a real content change.
Use of AI and tools
We may use software tools to help draft or check text. A human editor reviews every page against sources before publishing.
